Keeping up with Julian. . . .

My apologies for the distance between postings. During the past month we have been in the process of moving. Even though we only moved two miles to the top of Education Hill in Redmond – it still was a move. A month ago we had no idea that we would be moving, but due to my son Julian’s reaction to his chemo treatments for his type of Leukemia - it was necessary to find a place that was on one level. His leg muscles were getting so weak he could not negotiate stairs, and being on a three-story townhome (with no bathroom on the main floor) pretty much dictated the move. Nicole and I are blessed that it is three doors down from her Mom's place. Her being a RN for 22+ years makes me feel just a little bit safer. . . . . .

At the beginning of July, Julian went in for a round of high dose chemo - he was there for 5 long days. This was during a very nice spell of weather and I know he did not want to be there. To make matters worse after he got out on the 9th, he came home only to get a fever and have to go back into Children's. Anything above 101ยบ is cause for a revisit. This was not what he wanted to do. After a couple days of uncertainty, it was discovered that the tip of Julian's appendix had burst. The Doctor's went in and removed his appendix. He was finally discharged on the 15th of July. He was sore but healthy as can be expected.
